Reviews for Schützenhof
Review highlights
Based on 763 reviewsSchützenhof in Wiesbaden is widely appreciated for its authentic German cuisine, featuring fresh and flavorful dishes that resonate well with both locals and visitors seeking a genuine dining experience. The restaurant’s menu, primarily in German, adds to its charm but may challenge non-German speakers, though the attentive staff often bridge this gap with friendly and accommodating service. Many reviews highlight the warm atmosphere and personalized recommendations, enhancing the overall experience. The service is consistently described as welcoming and multilingual, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable visit. Overall, Schützenhof is praised for its combination of traditional food quality and excellent customer care, making it a favored spot for those looking to enjoy classic German fare in a less touristy setting.
Food was great. Server was really nice, introducing me the menu because the menu is only in German. It might be a bit difficult if you don’t understand a word but I find these types of restaurant better coz they feel like less tourist-y.
We weren’t expecting much, looking for a quick meal close to our hotel, but we had a great time. The service is amazing, despite the language barrier, our waitress was super friendly and accommodating!! The food is authentic, heartwarming and comforting. A lot of thanks to our waitress, “Marilyn Monroe”, you guys are adorable :)
We visited this restaurant with a small group of 4 people. I can say that the impression of dinner can be described by the scene "Anton Ego Tastes Ratatouille" everything was very very tasty, the salad, the steak, the asparagus and a great dessert. Many thanks to all the service staff for our great evening, by the way, service is possible not only in German and English, for this an extra like P.S.I don’t have any photos of the dishes, we enjoyed dinner and forgot about our phones
Food was fresh and amazing! I'd usually take a picture, but I dug in too quickly. Service was just as good A local gal happened to see us looking at the menu with the translate app and recommended a local to the area dish - weiner schnitzel with a cheese sauce and side salad. Will definitely visit again!
Really good typical German food. The crew is very Nice and happy.
A lovely restaurant close to the Rhine with awesome service, a great selection of drinks and wonderful schnitzels. The owner is wonderfully friendly and showed us a great time.
Went to this restaurant as we wanted traditional German cuisine. Service was very friendly and food was good, everything seemed fresh and well prepared. Only downside was that they did not accept visa or any cards apart from German cards. As we didn’t have enough cash, I had to walk to the cash point, not far but do question why this is, as haven’t experienced anything like this before in any of my travels. To be fair they were very good about it and said it did state that on the menu. We didn’t see that. If you are visiting Germany and want to go here, it’s worth a visit but make sure you have cash.
